My former law firm asked me to continue producing their holiday card. It is usually a run of 3,000 that are sent around the country. I have used many Plaza lights photos in the past and this year they picked a fun image shot in the River Market. It was one of those great, incredibly quiet, huge snowflake snows that are so spectacular. My thanks to the firm for their continued support of my photographic endeavors.
For the last 8-10 years I have worked with Payson Lowell at Greyston Graphics to print the cards.
Once again my hat is off to Payson , Jeff and Don at Greystone. Making a black and white image produce well in a large run is a real art. I went this morning to watch and approve the duotone run. Using an incredibly complex press and laying down just the right amount of grey and black ink, they have done it again. It has nice rich blacks and holds the detail in the midtones and highlights. Here are a couple of pictures taken with my iPhone.
Above are Jeff and Don working their magic on the press, and to the right is Payson near the proof viewing table. Again, thanks to all who made this card look great.
