New Chapter

It is now firmly fall in KC.  The first snow of the season falls today and marks the beginning of what hopefully will not be an overly frigid winter season. It also marks the beginning of a new chapter for Peter Obetz Photography.

My decision this past week to open my own stand-alone studio is not without apprehension.  As Digital Labrador moves into a new era, it is time for me to expand what has become a busy photography business.  Peter Obetz Photography has grown over the past several years to occupy a large part of my waking hours.  This will now continue in it's own space.  I am looking as fast as I can for space.  My inclination is to follow the demographics and open up in south Johnson County.  Trying to balance location with price is the primary objective at this point.  As I narrow this search I will keep all posted here with the new developments.

I will continue my focus on portraiture in  both the business and family arena.  At the same time I hope to continue expanding my commercial work.  Associated Wholesale Grocers has been a great client and shooting all of their food labeling has been very rewarding.  I just finished a new campaign for Woodside Racket club and the images for  the web and brochures look great.  Spending more time focusing on these types of jobs will be a priority.  Stay posted.

Hey, Pete...
Congratulations on your new venture. Full speed ahead! We still need a family portrait, if we can ever get everybody rounded up in the same place.
Best wishes for your continued success.
